Today is New Release Day at Flowers, Feathers and Fairies.

Sabrina has created a beautiful Gypsy girl for us and you can find her on the Etsy store

I created my first journal page using the Gypsy. I was brave and tried a new skin color combo. Hope you like her as much as I do!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #415

Good Morning Friends,

Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I had a fabulous time with my hubby and the kids. We took them to the city and visited the science centre. So much to do there, we'll have to go again this winter to explore more of the exhibits.

Our sketch this week is...

Tuesday Morning Sketches is our sponsor this week.

And here's what I created.
I used quite a few older products from my stash on this card. The DSP is from Stampin Up, paper flowers are spritzed with biscotti Perfect Pearls Mists, the gems are random, added some silver foil tape from Close to my Heart. The top part is water color paper with Tim Holtz distress paint weathered wook and distress ink cracked pistachio, and Heidi Swapp Color Shine Tropicana Teal.

Check out what the rest of the team created....

Tuesday Morning Sketches #414

Good Morning,

I just wanted to thank everyone who joined us for our birthday celebration in July. So many fabulous cards were entered!

This week we have another fantastic sketch. I struggled a bit this week (human error) My first card was a vertical card with a unicorn, sadly the photo I took didn't save properly and the card went to the birthday party before I realized. So back to the drawing table I went... and then I remembered I had received the One Day Fae this month from Faery Ink and it would be perfect for this sketch.

Our sponser this week is Pink and Main.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #413

Good Morning friends,

Today I have another Tuesday Morning Sketch to share with you #413.

And the theme this week.... Use your stamps!  Pretty easy, right?  But to be very clear, your focal image must be stamped.  No digital images or die cut focal images.

Our sponsor this week is My Sweet Petunia.  Yep!  One random winner will win the choice of an Original MISTI or Mini MISTI!

Everyone who linked by 8pm EST at the close of each challenge is eligible to win.  Because I couldn't get the link tool to merge week 1 with the remaining weeks, I will be renumbering everyone, but if you've participated all 4 weeks, your name is "in the hat" 4 times.
I changed up the positioning of the oval and changed the ribbon to an embellishment of a sun burst.
The stamp is from Kraftin Kimmie called Beach Blanket Bingo! I stamped him with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, colored with various copics, used an oval and scallop oval die cuts. Teal cardstock from my scrap bin was cut and embossed with swirls, added the sunburst (cut out using my Cricut Explore) Added some twine and a real red button to finish this card off.

I would love to add this card into the following challenges.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 306 - anything goes (Sunburst is cut using Just Because Cards, contouring used to remove the smiley face)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #412

Tuesday Morning Sketches #412

Hi All!  Sorry I'm late with my post. The kids and I have been hit with Strep Throat/Ear Infections. Slowly recovering after lots of sleep, cuddles and great meds from the doctors.

This week's sketch is super clean and simple...

This week's theme is:  Embellishments

The prize this week is a fun stamp set by Kaiser Craft...

Here's my creation. I finally used the gold washi tape that's been sitting in the drawer for some time now. Gold, Ivory and Red have been showing up on my pinterest news feed lately with wedding ideas. I thought this color combo would be great for an anniversary card. I need a few more for July/August so this one will be used right away.

Check out what the rest of the team created....
This sketch is perfect to feature your collection of washi tapes or use up some scraps of papers.  Have fun with this!  You have until Sunday, 8pm EST to link up.  Anything linked after that time - we will love seeing it but it will not be considered for the prize drawing.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 411

Good Morning Tuesday Morning Sketches Friends,

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Who's ready for Christmas in July!?! We are this week over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!!! I can't wait to share this amazing sketch and the digi that I have used. I love CHRISTMAS so much and last year I gave in to the elf on the shelf idea for the kids. Only after finding our elf at 50% while doing some last minute shopping with my bestie. Our elf only relocates in the house after visiting Santa at night. I'm not into anything to crazy but do have a great pinterest board with loads of ideas for "snowball" to do.

Here's my card:

Our sketch:

Image: Shocked Elf from Ericraft Stamps
Digital Stamp - Shocked elf - 300dpi jpeg file by Erica Bruton
Isn't he just adorable!!! I colored him with a bunch of different copic markers, cut him out to look like he was sitting on the edge of the bookshelf, mounted him on some Close to my Heart paper and added a shimmy boarder and a tag with my own saying on it. I couldn't find a stamp or alphabet set that I liked so I used a glittery gel pen.

Love popping him into my Christmas Card bin so early this year. Make sure you visit the rest of the ladies and see their creations for our Christmas in July over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

July Release - Flowers, Feathers and Fairies

Sorry I'm late everyone! I had a blog post typed up and ready to go before I left for holidays and when I returned home today I noticed it did not post on July 1st as I intended, and it's not saved in my blogger. So here I am again typing out this blog post.

NEW RELEASE!!!
I'm so excited to share with you all this amazing image that Sabrina has been working on for us. Every since the huntress was release I've been asking for a hunter. My hubby has started bow hunting a few years ago and now this summer both our daughter and son will be attending archery lessons. So fun to have a family activity to do together (shooting 3d targets) This image is perfect for us!

There's two images merged together in this scene and you can find them both on the links below. Make sure you also visit the Flowers, Feathers & Fairies blog to see what the other ladies created.

Tuesday Morning Sketches# 409

Tuesday Morning Sketches #409

Hey peeps, here's our sketch for the week. I sure hope you have time to join us this week!

Tomorrow is the last day of school. My daughter is finished Grade 2 and words can not express how much we appreciate Mr. A. He was amazing with the kids and we are so sad that he won't be at the school next year but we are so happy that he is following the Lord's plan for him and he is heading over seas to teach.
Since he loves to travel all over the world I thougth this Graduating World stamp is perfect! Paired it with some embossed musical paper. During my volunteer time at the school it wasn't uncommom to hear Mr. A singing or humming a tune as he took student through the halls, while he was in the work room, staff room or library. My favorite memory was the celebration the grade two class lead for the school and he taught the kids "Hallelujah" He played piano and they all sang! It was amazing!

Please make sure you stop by the other fabulous design team blogs.
